Dear Slovakia visa applicant,

If you are applying for a long-term visa for the purpose of employment, the documents you submit must include a Slovak-language document proving the purpose of your stay. This may be one of the following documents or an equivalent document:

• a work permit;
• the employer’s confirmation that no work permit is required;
• an international treaty by which the Slovak Republic is bound and which provides that no work permit is required;
• the employer’s written promise of employment;
• an employment contract.

In addition, you must submit a copy of the confirmation that “the vacancy can be filled without a labour market test.” This confirmation must state the relevant Slovak foreign police department at which the third-country national intends to submit the application for a residence permit.

All the above documents must be no older than 180 days.

If you subsequently submit an application for a residence permit in the territory of Slovakia, the above requirements also apply.
